An intriguing fellow, with a knack for sourcing fine whisky.
Over a century ago when he presided over the formation of what was then the Northern Club, the distinguished chap met with other businessmen to relax, read the daily newspapers and have a quiet drink or meal and conduct important business.
These days important decisions are still made across the bar and dinner table no doubt, however the gentleman’s legacy continues with patrons enjoying a fine selection of wine and whisky at the aptly named Henry’s.
Henry’s is the latest acquisition of the Social Hospitality Co, offering lovers of fine produce a great selection of Tasmanian wines, whisky, local brews and an ever evolving tasting menu.
Social Hospitality Co Director, Nick Daking has blended the old charm of the Northern Club with modern features to create a sophisticated dining and function venue.
120 years on, the newly named Henry’s is still the place to fortify the spirits and satisfy the palette with good friends or colleagues.
Henry’s offers patrons a tantalising selection of produce sourced almost entirely from local pastures and shores.
From seafood bisque and salmon tarte to seared beef fillet and quail, Henry’s ever changing tasting menu is dependent on seasonal availability.
Carefully selected wines are suggested to complement your choice.
